Protecting the safety and health of their workforce is a priority for retailers. Retail safety professionals are always looking for ways to enhance their existing programs. One way they do that is to leverage the expertise of their external partners.
RILA has taken a cue from its retail members in announcing today that it has entered into a partnership with the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the federal agency that conducts research and makes recommendations for preventing work-related injuries and illnesses. Through this partnership NIOSH and RILA will collaborate to provide education, outreach, communication, and professional development opportunities and facilitate the transfer and implementation of effective workplace injury prevention measures.
Demonstrating its commitment to education, RILA has dedicated several sessions to workplace safety at its upcoming Loss Prevention Auditing and Safety (LPAS) Conference, April 11-14 in Orlando, Florida.
